The 2024 Olympic Games 4×100 Men’s Relay Race field has been officially confirmed with Ghana set to compete in the highly anticipated event.

The list confirming the field for the event was released by World Athletics with Ghana featured as one of four African nations to qualify to compete.

Ghana joins fellow West African nations, Nigeria and Liberia and South Africa as representatives of the continent in the event.

Despite making the grade in the Men’s event, Ghana missed out on qualifying in the female category with Nigeria and Cote D’Ivoire as Africa’s representative.

Ghana’s quartet of Isaac Botsio, Benjamin Azamati, Joseph Paul Amoah and Ibrahim Fuseini secured the Olympic ticket by winning its Heat at the World Relays in Bahamas with a time of 38.29 seconds.

Amoah and Azamati competed at the 2020 Olympics 4×100 Men’s Relay Final for Ghana with Sean Safo-Antwi and Emmanuel Yeboah but finished seventh.
