2026 World Cup Qualifiers: New Black Stars technical team eyes winning start against Chad

Ghana’s revamped Murky Stars technical group is blueprint to starting up out up their tenure on a solid show conceal as they prepare to face Chad within the 2026 World Cup qualifiers at the Accra Sports Stadium on Friday.

Following Ghana’s failure to qualify for the 2025 AFCON, the Ghana Football Association (GFA) made key changes to the technical setup.

Former German coach Winfried Schäfer has joined as a technical advisor, Belgian sports psychologist Kris has been introduced in to fortify the group’s psychological resilience, and Desmond Offei has been added as a 2nd assistant coach.

They complement head coach Otto Addo, assistant coach John Paintsil, and goalkeepers’ coach Fatau Dauda in a restructured backroom workers.

The group has been practicing at the Accra Sports Stadium, with sessions occupied with bettering tactical discipline and group cohesion.

The new technical setup has introduced renewed energy to the camp, and the players are fervent to place into effect their suggestions against Chad.
