A dream to play with good players like Mohammed Kudus who can assist me – West Ham’s Niclas Füllkrug
West Ham United striker Niclas Füllkrug has praised the quality of The Hammers wealth of creative players including Ghana’s Mohammed Kudus.
He said this after joining West Ham from German side Borussia Dortmund for 27.5 million pounds on a four year deal.
The German striker is coming off an impressive 2023-2024 campaign that had him feature in the UEFA Champions League Final for Dortmund and make it to the 2024 Euros quarterfinals.
Speaking in his first interview after joining the London side, Niclas Füllkrug highlighted the number of quality creative players West Ham have including the winner of West Ham’s Goal of The Season Award in the last campaign.
“I am very happy to be here, also a little bit excited. I can’t wait to get on the pitch with my new mates. It’s a dream because you have [Lucas] Paquetá, [Jarrod] Bowen, [Mohammed] Kudus, and now [Crysencio] Summerville as well.”
“There are a lot of very good players who can assist me, and if I get assists then I can score. I believe I can fit into this team very well.”
In his debut season with West Ham, Kudus scored 14 goals and added six assists in 45 games in all competitions.
