Four players have been ruled out of the Black Stars upcoming Africa Cup of Nations qualifier game against Niger due to injuries. The team will now have to strategise without the contributions of Jordan Ayew, Gideon Mensah, Alidu Seidu, and Abdul Fatawu Issahaku.

Jordan Ayew and Abdul Fatawu Issahaku both sustained injuries during the recent match against Angola. While Ayew managed to complete the game, subsequent MRI scans revealed significant damage to his knee, raising concerns about his fitness for future matches. On the other hand, Issahaku was substituted in the first half after suffering an injury, leaving the team to adapt quickly to his absence.

The medical team for the Black Stars, led by Dr. Prince Pambo, has been in close consultation with Leicester City’s medical staff regarding Ayew’s condition. The collaborative effort aims to ensure that Ayew receives the best possible care and rehabilitation. Both Ayew and Issahaku are set to return to their club on Sunday, where they will begin their recovery process.

The team will need to rally together and find ways to fill the gaps left by their injured teammates. The Black Stars of Ghana have already missed out on a ticket to the 2025 Africa Cup of Nations (AFCON) in Morocco after a tense 1-1 draw against Angola in Luanda.

The game against Niger on Monday, November 18, will test the team’s passion and determination for the country as their love and pride for Ghana will be keenly watched.
