West Ham United manager Julen Lopetegui has confirmed that Ghanaian forward Mohammed Kudus is ready to rejoin the squad for their upcoming Premier League clash against Leicester City on Tuesday, December 3.
This marks a significant moment for the 24-year-old Black Stars player, who has been sidelined since West Ham’s disappointing 4-1 defeat to Tottenham Hotspur last month. Kudus’ absence was due to a red card he received during that match, which led to a five-match suspension for misconduct.
The return of Kudus is a welcome boost for West Ham, who have faced a challenging period without the talented forward. Lopetegui expressed his enthusiasm regarding Kudus’ readiness, highlighting the positive impact his return could have on the team’s performance.
“He’s ready, working well, and happy to be back,” the manager stated, emphasising the importance of having as many options as possible for the upcoming matches.
Kudus’ presence on the pitch is expected to enhance West Ham’s attacking capabilities. Known for his speed and skill, the Ghanaian forward has the potential to change the dynamics of the game. With several crucial fixtures lined up, including the match against Leicester, his return could be pivotal in helping the team secure vital points in the Premier League.
The manager refrained from revealing specific details about the starting lineup but hinted at the possibility of Kudus featuring prominently in the match against Leicester. “Let’s see what’s going to happen with Mohammed Kudus,” Lopetegui remarked, suggesting that the forward’s performance in training may influence his inclusion in the starting eleven.
