Athletic Bilbao’s dream of playing the UEFA Europa League final on home soil remains alive, as a result of Nico Williams’ heroics in an exhilarating evening at San Mamés.
The Crimson and Whites facet overturned a 2-1 first-leg deficit against Claudio Ranieri’s Roma, securing a decisive 3-1 victory that sent them via to the quarterfinals. The reward? A showdown with Glasgow Rangers, with the first leg space to occur in Bilbao.
