Opposing teams to receive automatic 3 points following Nsoatreman FC’s withdrawal

Clubs scheduled to face Nsoatreman FC in the Ghana Premier League will seemingly be awarded three components and three targets following the club’s withdrawal from the competitors.

The Ghana Soccer Affiliation (GFA) confirmed this decision after activating Article 13(5) of its competitors rules.

The guideline states that when a club withdraws after the league has commenced, all final fixtures intriguing the personnel will seemingly be regarded as forfeited, with their opponents automatically receiving three components and three targets.

Nsoatreman FC’s decision to pull out of the league used to be officially communicated to the GFA on March 14, 2025, citing safety concerns.

Their withdrawal comes in the wake of unrest surrounding their controversial conflict with Asante Kotoko in February, which resulted in the tragic death of a fan and subsequent arrests, alongside side that of club owner Ignatius Baffuor Awuah.

Despite safety reforms following a month-long league suspension, Nsoatreman reported one other attack whereas touring to face Samartex, prompting their decision to exit the league entirely. The GFA has referred the case to its Prosecutor, and disciplinary court docket cases are scheme to use.
