Niger will play Sudan in an AFCON 2025 Group F qualifier match on Thursday, November 14, in Togo. The Nigerien Football Federation decided to hold the game at KG Stadium in Lomé, Togo’s capital, instead of using Moulay Hassan Stadium in Rabat, Morocco, which they initially picked as their home field.
Since Niger does not have a CAF-approved stadium for Category Three matches, they first planned to play in Morocco, where they went for a two-day training camp in Rabat. But they have now moved their preparations to Togo.
In their previous match in September, Sudan beat Niger 1-0 with a second-half goal by Abu Bakr at Juba Stadium. Sudan currently stands second in Group F with seven points from four games and needs just two more points from their remaining two matches to qualify for AFCON 2025.
Niger, with only one point and at the bottom of the group, has almost no chance of qualifying.
