Broken-down Ghana defender Sammy Kuffour has credited Bayern Munich for shaping his existence and profession while reflecting on his close relationship with legendary goalkeeper Oliver Kahn.

Kuffour spent 12 seasons with Bayern, winning a complete lot of trophies, including the UEFA Champions League and Club World Cup.

“Bayern Munich made me who I am right this moment time. They took me as their very salvage, acted as my agent, and assured me a passport. It’s a blessing to be part of the Bayern family,” Kuffour suggested Sporty FM.

Nevertheless, one of his most memorable moments became once his existence-saving intervention for the period of a Champions League match against Manchester United in 2001, when he performed CPR on Kahn after the goalkeeper collapsed on the pitch.

Recalling his bond with Kahn, he added: “Anytime it’s my birthday, Oliver Kahn posts that picture [of me saving his life with CPR] and says thank you. These are issues money can’t aquire.”
