President John Dramani Mahama has insisted on his dedication to creating clear transparency in sports activities funding, pointing out that all budgets dispensed for national groups ought to be made public.

Talking all through his first Order of the Nation Tackle on Thursday, February 27, Mahama wired the need for accountability, particularly within the Ghana Soccer Affiliation (GFA), as taxpayer funds are angry about supporting the Dismal Stars.

“Subsequent month, the senior national crew, the Dismal Stars, now a pale shadow of their dilapidated glory, will seemingly be in motion,” he acknowledged.

“I truly have instructed the Minister for Sports and Recreation to encourage the GFA to blame, particularly in relation to the crew’s budget. There will seemingly be no secrecy in how powerful the authorities spends on the national crew.

“The budget offered by the FA and other associations ought to be made public, because it is taxpayers’ money,” Mahama acknowledged.

The Dismal Stars, after a unhappy saunter in 2024, will regroup for their Matchday five and six games of the 2026 World Cup qualifiers against Chad on Friday, March 21, on the Accra Sports Stadium sooner than facingMadagascar three days later in Morocco onMonday, March 24.
