CHANNELONE SWIMMING CHAMPIONSHIP: Proud of our performance despite losing first place- Marlins Coach

Coach at the Marlins Swim Club, Lady Rowena Majid-Michel, has stated that she is proud of her team’s performance despite missing out on emerging as the overall best team at the 2024 ChannelOne TV National Swimming Championship.

The second edition of the two day event took place at the Borteyman Sports Complex and had Legon Swim Club top the overall standings with GH Dolphins in second place.

Majid-Michel said this in an interview on Citi FM’s Breakfast Show in the aftermath of the well talked about competition.

“Just like last year, we did our best we actually had some very good time drops, we had some exciting moments so we are very proud of our performance although the GH Dolphins and Legon Sharks really brought it so kudos to them.”

She added that the drop in numbers from her team made them quite expectant of a drop in the medal count compared to last year’s.

Legon Sharks won the 2024 Channel One TV Swimming Championship

“We know that we’ve had a bit of a drop in our numbers this season but we still have very good swimmers so we did our best and the results are what they are.”
