Former Dance With Purpose (DWP) member, Danita Akosua Adumayabua popularly known as Afronita has revealed that dance has a promising future not only in Ghana but also worldwide, particularly in Africa.
Speaking on GTV Breakfast on Tuesday April 9, 2024, Afronita stated the importance of nurturing young talents and investing time in their development, as demonstrated by her recent trip to Nigeria.
She said, while in Nigeria, she was struck by the talent of young girls at an Orphanage, which she had been following online. Inspired by their potential, she visited the Orphanage, made a donation, and spent time recording videos with the children, fostering a positive environment for them to thrive in.
“With the motivation and inspiration from such experiences, I’ve always dreamed of establishing a dance school for children,” she expressed.
She announced the launch of Afrostar Kids Academy, catering to children aged three to 12, scheduled for this Sunday at Fit Trip.
“The academy aims to provide rigorous training for children passionate about dance, offering parents further validation of their children’s talents.”
Adumayabua believes that seeing tangible results and having positive role models will encourage children to pursue their passion for dance without neglecting their studies. This initiative aims to bolster children’s self-esteem and make parents proud of their achievements.
