Election 2024: NDC targets 35% votes in Ashanti region

Former Deputy Ashanti Regional Minister, Samuel Yaw Adusei, has warned members of the National Democratic Congress (NDC) against complacency, emphasizing the party’s goal of securing 35% of votes in the 2024 elections.

Adusei urged party members to unite in support of flagbearer John Dramani Mahama and the parliamentary candidates.

He highlighted the NDC as the only hope for Ghanaians to rescue the country from what he described as poor economic management under the New Patriotic Party (NPP).

Mr. Adusei made these remarks during the presentation of two motorbikes and an undisclosed amount of money to the Bantama Constituency branch of the NDC to boost their electoral activities.

“The NDC is the only hope Ghanaians can count on to rescue the country from poor economic management. I urge NDC supporters in Ashanti to double their efforts in the stronghold of the ruling government. The Ashanti region is the battleground for the 2024 general elections, so I call on all relaxed and experienced party members to come on board.

“Complacency is not an option. The NPP targets 85% in Ashanti, while we aim for 35%. Unity is crucial to achieving our target and securing national victory,” he said.

Bantama Parliamentary candidate Kwadwo Addai Dapaah promised to work hard to secure the seat for the party.

“I promise to work hard to secure the Bantama parliamentary seat for the party. Thank you, Hon. Yaw Adusei, for your support… We are going to work hard in the constituency with these motorbikes to enhance the NDC in the Bantama constituency. We will not give room to complacency in our campaign activities.”
