GFA boss Kurt E.S Okraku appears in court in defamation suit against Atta Poku, Sompa TV/FM
The President of the Ghana Soccer Affiliation (GFA), Kurt Edwin Simeon-Okraku, appeared in court on Monday April 7, 2024, in his defamation lawsuit against journalist Collins Atta Poku and owners of Sompa TV/FM, Teraone Media Restricted.
The GFA boss appeared in court in the firm of his lawyer Godwin Mensah Sackey, for a hearing in the GHC 30 million lawsuit brought by the leader of Ghanaian football.
The Defendants did now not seem in court on Monday and had been represented by their counsel.
The parties will return to court on Monday April 14, 2025.
President Kurt Okraku, who’s an Executive Council member of the Confederation of African Soccer (CAF), has dragged the journalist and his media outfit to court for making defamatory and libelous convey against him.
In an announcement of claim at the High Court docket, Okraku accused the defendants of publishing false accusations to defame his character and bring him into public odium.
