GFA hosts Columbia University MBA delegation for insightful engagement on football and tourism
The Ghana Football Affiliation (GFA) has hosted a renowned delegation from Columbia College’s MBA program as section of their Global Immersion route.
The focus on with, which brought collectively college contributors and 30 MBA students, created a platform for discussions on Ghanaian soccer’s evolution, governance, commercialization, and its rising link with tourism.
Led by senior college contributors, the delegation engaged with top GFA officers, including the Overall Secretary, Executives, and Heads of Departments, at the Federation’s Head Space of job in Accra.
Discussions fascinated with soccer governance, income generation, and monetary operations, with insights into funding sources such as FIFA Forward purposes, CAF pork up for infrastructure and competitions, and UEFA-backed trend initiatives.
The delegation furthermore explored ladies’s soccer development, including the growth of the Girls’s Premier League, expertise identification initiatives, and grassroots purposes geared in direction of increasing feminine participation. Additionally, the GFA’s structured scouting and world collaborations for youth trend were highlighted.
A key session featured a presentation by Ghana Tourism Authority Deputy CEO Ben Anane Nsiah, who emphasised sports tourism’s role in Ghana’s economy, leveraging predominant tournaments and fan engagement to location the country as a premier destination in Africa.
