GJA commends media for exceptional elections reportage

The leadership of the Ghana Journalists Association (GJA) in Bono, Bono East and Ahafo Regions has commended media personnel in the three regions for their yeoman’s job during the just-ended general election.

A statement signed by the Acting Chairperson of the GJA in the three regions, Mrs. Regina Benneh Siaw, described as “exceptional reportage” the efforts put in by media men and women in providing accurate and verifiable information about the elections to the public.

“Not only was your reportage informative but was also engaging by making complex issues easy to the understanding of the public”, the statement said.

It noted that despite the challenges and election-related incidents that occurred during the period, media personnel in the three regions still carried out their duties with a high sense of professionalism by providing accurate updates to the public.

“Your professional dedication in the face of serious challenges serves as a powerful testament to your commitment to our noble profession of journalism”, the statement further said, adding that, “This singular occasion, besides the others that have gone by unmentioned, attests to your avowed determination to play your part to make Ghana great and strong.”
