GPL: Nsoatreman supporters will do everything to protect club’s image& Paulina Boatema
Secretary of the Nsoatreman FC Supporters Group, Paulina Boatema has stated emphatically that supporters of the club won’t risk damaging the image of the club by engaging in acts of hooliganism.
This comes in the wake of several acts of hooliganism linked to teams in the former Bono-Ahafo Region of Ghana.
She said this in an interview with Channel One Sports on the sidelines of the unveiling of Yaw Preko as the new head coach of the club following the departure of Maxwell Konadu.
Nsoatreman will represent Ghana in next season’s CAF Confederation Cup after beating Bono rival Bofoakwa Tano on penalties to win the 2024 MTN FA Cup at the University of Ghana Stadium.
“We will make sure that as supporters, as we love Nsoatreman and love our town…and make sure we do everything that will protect it. Anything that will bring problems to the team we will make sure it won’t happen. Sometimes we go on radio tours from matches to matches so that we educate the supporters on all these things. We will keep on doing that.”
Nsoatreman’s preliminary round opponent in the CAF Confed Cup will be determined by a draw slated to take place in Cairo, Egypt on Thursday, July 11. (Click highlighted text to read full story)
