Asante Kotoko head coach, Prosper Narteh Ogum has unfolded on what he went by the day Francis Yaw Frimpong, popularly identified as Nana Pooley, became once stabbed to demise in Nsoatre.
The incident came about on February 2 when Asante Kotoko played in opposition to Nsoatreman FC of their Week 19 detect of the 2024/25 Ghana Premier League season.
Talking on the incident, Coach Prosper Narteh Ogum has disclosed that he switched off on the matchday after he seen the physique of stabbed Nana Pooley on the floor.
“I judge what came about [in Nsoatre] is now not excellent. It’s one thing that we all want to disfavor of; we all want to condemn. It’s not excellent for affiliation soccer, it isn’t excellent for our league, and it isn’t excellent for soccer within the nation.
“For my half, I switched off after I seen Pooley lying down. Due to that’s now not why we went there. We went there to entertain contributors, we went there to play soccer, we went there to unite contributors. That’s the essence of soccer, and so what came about became once now not excellent,” coach Prosper Narteh Ogum talked about.
Four weeks after the stabbing incident, Nana Pooley has been laid to leisure.
The Ghana Premier League, which became once suspended, will resume this weekend with all 18 collaborating golf equipment returning to motion.
