International Space University Full Tuition Scholarship 2025 : Study In France

The International Space University, in collaboration with ASPACE Satellite Technology Limited and the Space Generation Advisory Council, is providing a comprehensive tuition scholarship for the academic year 2025. The purpose of this scholarship is to assist students from disadvantaged and marginalized areas, to foster diversity in the field of space education. The application process is currently available for ISU’s Master in Space Studies, with a particular focus on candidates from Africa.

Summary

The International Space University (ISU), in collaboration with ASPACE Satellite Technology Limited (ASPACE) and the Space Generation Advisory Council (SGAC), will provide a complete scholarship to the victor of the competition to attend their one-year Master of Space Studies (MSS) program.

ISU has been a longstanding collaborator of SGAC and has provided support for several efforts, such as the staging of the 7th African Space Generation Workshop (AF-SGW) conducted in Ghana and the future AF-SGW scheduled to take place in Abuja, Nigeria. ISU collaborates with SGAC and ASPACE to provide an opportunity for young African students and professionals to participate in one of their highly sought-after space programs.

Selected from a group of outstanding applicants, this fiercely competitive competition provides an opportunity for an individual residing in Africa and holding citizenship in one of the African countries to secure a place in the esteemed Master of Space Studies program at the renowned International Space University.

Award

The grant will provide funding for a single individual to enroll in the ISU Master of Space Studies (MSS) program. The scholarship award will completely cover the tuition charge for the chosen candidates.

The Space Studies Master’s program is an interdisciplinary curriculum that equips students with the knowledge and abilities necessary to excel in the quickly changing space industry. The one-year program encompasses all areas of space exploration and a diverse array of subjects. Upon completion of the curriculum, students will possess a profound comprehension of space engineering, space applications, space exploration, and the physical and life sciences of the space environment.

In addition, they will possess a comprehensive understanding of space policies and regulations, and possess the capacity to analyze knowledge from many fields in a discerning manner. The program also focuses on entrepreneurial aspects, equipping students with the skills to build and finance space enterprises and excel in project management approaches.

Qualification

  • To possess citizenship in an African nation and to live inside the borders of Africa.
  • To become a member of SGAC,
  • Applicants must be within the age range of 18 to 35 years at the commencement of the MSS program.
  • The award is not available to ISU and SGAC board and staff members.
  • If chosen, one must be eligible to acquire a visa for traveling to France.

Guidelines for submitting

  • The submission of the application must be done through the ISU website.
  • All contributions must be written in English.
  • If there is an insufficient number of high-quality submissions, the organizers retain the authority to prolong or terminate the competition.

Duties of the winner

The winner shall:

  • Provide a 1-minute video where they explain how this opportunity will significantly impact and promote similar projects for inclusion on the SGAC and ISU websites, newsletters, or social media platforms.
  • Enroll and successfully finish the full Master’s program commencing in September 2024.
  • Support the promotion of future space leaders in Africa.

Protection of Copyright and Intellectual Property

Applicants, upon submitting an entry, consent to let the SGAC, ISU, and other participating organizations utilize their names, affiliations, and headshot photos about the scholarship. The same principle applies to the submitted essay: certain sections of it may be utilized for promotional reasons, with proper acknowledgment given to the writers for their contribution.

The competitors shall retain the copyright of the submitted entry. By submitting an entry, all entrants acknowledge that SGAC and its connected organizers are granted non-exclusive reproduction rights for all submitted papers. SGAC and its associated organizers have the right to showcase ideas and discoveries resulting from this competition at appropriate conferences.

Responsibility

  • The organizers will not be held liable if the competition is canceled.
  • The organizers will not be held accountable if the recipient of the award is unable to attend ISU’s Master’s program in 2024 or is unable to do so due to exceptional circumstances.
  • The organizers will not assume responsibility if the award recipient is unable to get the required travel documents.
  • If the winner is unable to participate in the ISU program, the organizers will determine if a substitute candidate can be chosen or if the scholarship will be postponed until the next year.

Selection

An ISU representative, an ASPACE representative, and an SGAC representative will evaluate the proposals that ISU has academically approved. The judges will select the recipient of the full MSS scholarship.

To be eligible to apply for the MSS program, you must have a strong command of the English language and have completed or be on track to complete a Bachelor’s degree by August 2024. The subject of study for the Bachelor’s degree can be in any discipline, whether technical or non-technical.

  • A curriculum vitae (CV) that should specifically include a comprehensive summary of your contributions to SGAC.
  • Compose a 500-word essay elucidating your drive to participate in the ISU MSS.
  • Please provide duplicates of your diplomas and academic transcripts.
