POSITION: Laboratory Technician

Job Summary:

The Laboratory Technician will assist our laboratory staff with technical tasks such as testing, data analysis, and equipment and supply maintenance. The selected candidate will have a solid understanding of laboratory techniques, great analytical abilities, and a keen eye for detail.

Key Responsibilities:

• Perform routine laboratory procedures, such as sample preparation, data collecting, and analysis.
• Keep accurate and complete records of lab results, procedures, and equipment maintenance.
• Use and maintain laboratory equipment, including calibration and troubleshooting.
• Prepare and store laboratory reagents, solutions, and standards.
• Assist with the creation and implementation of new laboratory processes and protocols.
• Work with laboratory workers to ensure efficient and effective laboratory operations.
• Take part in quality control and assurance procedures to ensure lab results are correct and dependable.
• Maintain a safe and organized laboratory environment while following laboratory safety regulations and procedures.

Requirements:

• A diploma or associate’s degree in Medical Laboratory Technology, Biology, Chemistry, or a similar discipline.
• 1–2 years of laboratory experience, preferably in a clinical or research environment.
• Thorough understanding of laboratory techniques, such as sample preparation, data collecting, and analysis.
• Exceptional analytical and problem-solving abilities.
• Attention to detail and the capacity to keep correct records.
• Ability to work well in a team setting and collaborate with laboratory personnel.
• Effective communication and interpersonal skills.
• Ability to retain confidentiality while adhering to laboratory safety regulations and procedures.

Preferred Qualifications:

• A bachelor’s degree in medical laboratory technology, biology, chemistry, or another related discipline.
• Qualification as a Medical Laboratory Technician (MLT) or Clinical Laboratory Technician.
