Kotoko coach Prosper Ogum explains tactical dominance over Eleven Wise in FA Cup win
Asante Kotoko coach Prosper Narteh Ogum has revealed the tactical technique that ended in his crew’s 1-0 salvage over Sekondi Eleven Wise in the Round of 16 of the MTN FA Cup.
Consistent with Coach Ogum, Kotoko’s approach used to be to defend possession of the ball and exploit the gaps on the abet of Eleven Wise’s line of defense.
“We tried as important as imaginable to create bolt that that we stored possession of the ball and tried to play the ball on the abet of their line of defense because we realized they largely stayed in a low block or a medium block.”
This tactical technique in the damage paid off, as Elvis Kyei Baffour’s solitary strike secured a slim salvage for the Porcupine Warriors and evolved them to the quarterfinals.
Coach Ogum praised both groups for his or her performances, announcing, “It used to be a blinding sport where both groups performed very smartly… I comprise both groups performed smartly.”
With the salvage, Asante Kotoko will now face Appropriate Democracy in the quarterfinals of the MTN FA Cup.
