Mustapha Ussif lauds Akufo-Addo executive for expanding astroturf initiatives

Extinct Sports activities Minister, Hon. Mustapha Ussif

Extinct Childhood and Sports activities Minister, Mustapha Ussif, has commended the Nana Akufo-Addo-led executive for its dedication to creating sports infrastructure, namely the enchancment of astroturf pitches across Ghana.

Talking on the ground of Parliament, Ussif highlighted the influence of those facilities on grassroots football and recreational activities. He famed that before Akufo-Addo’s tenure, Ghana had excellent two astroturf pitches, but after eight years, the amount has risen to over 200.

“We are able to all testify—participants of parliament are here—before Nana Addo Dankwa Akufo-Addo, we had excellent two astroturfs in the total nation. However after eight years, we can now rely over 200,” Ussif acknowledged.

He also welcomed President John Dramani Mahama’s newest resolution to add game to the sports ministry’s mandate, emphasizing that the present sports infrastructure would beef up both aggressive and leisure activities.

“If you are going to catch exquisite game, these astroturfs in our constituencies and districts will be key in promoting recreational activities,” he added.

Ussif’s remarks underscored the rising role of sports infrastructure in fostering community engagement and nationwide pattern.
