POSITION: Medical Doctor

Role Description
This is a full-time on-site position for a Medical Doctor at AL-FITRAH MEDICAL CLINIC in Zabzugu. The Medical Doctor’s responsibilities will include providing medical care to patients, diagnosing illnesses, prescribing remedies, and educating them about health and wellbeing. The function entails working with other healthcare experts to provide comprehensive patient care.
Responsibilities
- Assessing patients’ medical history, providing diagnosis, treatment, counseling, and referrals as needed.
- Ordering lab tests and evaluating their results
- Ensuring secrecy and impartiality at all times
- Collecting, documenting, and storing sensitive patient data like as exam findings, medical history, and reports.
- Performing minor surgeries.
- Explaining procedures or treatments to patients.
- Communicating with local medical professionals and hospitals.
- Promoting health education in collaboration with other healthcare professionals.
- Meeting the government’s targets for specific treatments, such as child immunization.
- Discussing and analyzing new pharmaceutical items with industry representatives.
- Keeping up with medical advances, treatments, and medications.
- Teaching in hospitals and medical institutions, as well as observing and evaluating the performance of trainee doctors and medical students.
Qualifications
- Medical diagnosis, treatment, and patient-care skills
- Strong interpersonal and communication abilities.
- Ability to work well in a group and collaborate with other healthcare professionals.
- Understanding of medical ethics and confidentiality.
- Experience with primary care or family medicine.
- Medical degree from an accredited institution.
- Valid medical license for practice in Ghana.
- Continuing education and professional growth in the medical field
