Police file injunction to stop Gen-Z demonstration

The Ghana Police Service has filed an injunction to stop the Gen-Z demonstration from going down.

The seven-day protest, scheduled from July 31 to August 6, 2024, goals to carry over 2 million younger individuals onto the streets of Accra.

The demonstration intends to deal with extreme financial hardships primarily affecting the youth, driving many into drug dependancy, harmful migrations, and a few even becoming a member of terrorist teams.

Protesters additionally goal to problem the heavy taxes imposed by the federal government, together with the controversial betting tax, COVID-19 tax, sanitation tax, and elevated web knowledge taxes.
