Aged Ghana midfielder Emmanuel Agyemang-Badu believes veteran coach Sellas Tetteh and his backroom workers deserve bigger recognition for his or her noteworthy success with Ghana’s U-20 group.
Tetteh, who previously coached the Black Starlets and the Local Black Stars, became appointed head coach of the Black Satellites and led them to an unforgettable triumph.
Under his steering, the group won the 2009 African Early life ChampionshipâGhana’s first title within the competition since 1999âsecuring their space on the FIFA U-20 World Cup.
Later that one year, Tetteh made history by steering the Black Satellites to victory on the 2009 FIFA U-20 World Cup. Ghana defeated Brazil in a dramatic penalty shootout, becoming the first African nation to take the celebrated trophy.
Speaking to Sporty FMAgyemang-Badu emphasised the must honor Tetteh’s achievements.
“Sellas Tetteh and his group did an aesthetic job for Ghana and deserve worthy more recognition. One one year, three trophies,” he talked about.
Past his U-20 triumph, Tetteh has moreover served as caretaker coach of the Black Stars and managed nationwide groups, including Rwanda and Sierra Leone.
