POSITION: Zonal Manager – Sales 

Job Purpose

The successful applicant in this post will manage and build important partnerships while also driving the field sales team to meet or exceed Shalina’s business performance targets at the zonal level in Ghana.

What To Expect:

• Contribute to the establishment of a sales budget and drive sales to reach or exceed zonal sales targets.
• Formulate and implement marketing initiatives to promote products and grow brands in the given zone in collaboration with the regional marketing manager.
• Create sales action plans for the allocated zone to meet or exceed sales targets on a weekly, monthly, quarterly, and yearly basis.
• Drive field sales force performance by overseeing, assessing, and delivering real-time feedback in order to reach or exceed individual and team goals.
• Cultivate and manage connections with customers and key opinion leaders to increase sales and market share.
• Monitor market trends, competition activity, and pricing tactics, and submit reports to central marketing and sales leadership.
• Engage, mentor, and inspire the field sales staff on a continuous basis to establish a high-performing team.

Essential education, experience, and skills:

• Bachelor’s degree in pharmacy or life sciences, and a master’s degree in sales or marketing.
• Experience (12–15 years) in a regional or zonal sales role in Africa (ideally Ghana) for a multinational pharmaceutical firm.
• Self-starter, having the ability to stay motivated and complete the specified task.
• Leadership abilities and a track record of developing/leading high-performing sales teams.
• Worked with a wide group of colleagues across cultures and functions.
• Excellent communication, interpersonal, and analytical abilities.
