Stephen Appiah and Asamoah Gyan’s inclusion made a good impact on Black Stars Akonnor

Frail Ghana coach Charles Kwabla Akonnor has praised the inclusion of Stephen Appiah and Asamoah Gyan within the Unlit Stars’ setup ahead of the 2026 World Cup qualifiers.

Appiah currently serves as the Vice Chairman of the team’s Management Committee and oversees Participant Family. Although Gyan holds no respectable feature, he closely engaged with the squad before their most up-to-date matches against Chad and Madagascar.

Gyan used to be lisp as the Unlit Stars secured a dominant 5-0 victory over Chad at the Accra Sports Stadium. He then traveled with the team to Morocco, the build apart they continued their spectacular maintain with a 3-0 collect against Madagascar.

Reflecting on their involvement, Akonnor emphasized the loads of affect of the two veteran captains on the team’s efficiency.

“The inclusion of veteran avid gamers, Stephen Appiah and Asamoah Gyan, has positively impacted the team, boosting self belief with their journey and leadership,” he urged Asempa FM.

The Unlit Stars will reconvene in June for a four-nation tournament in England before going via Chad and Mali within the Matchday 7 and eight qualifiers in September.
