Winers Grammar § 5, 1 d. 14; Buttmann, 7; [references under the word ἀφεῖδον]; besides see εἶδω, I.); to look upon, to regard: followed by a telic infinitive, ἐπεῖδεν ἀφελεῖν τὸ ὄνειδός μου ([R. V. looked upon me to take away etc.], German hat hergeblickt), Luke 1:25; ἐπί τι, to look upon (for the purpose of punishing, cf. Latin animadvertere), Acts 4:29.
