SWAG highlighted how the dedication of these journalists goes a long way in projecting the positive narratives that define the spirit of sports.

“Today, we celebrate World Sports Journalist Day, a day set aside to recognise the contributions of sports journalists to the development of sports globally,” the statement began. “As the Sports Writers Association of Ghana (SWAG), we salute all sports journalists in Ghana and around the world for their tireless efforts in reporting on sports, telling the stories of our athletes, and promoting the values of sportsmanship and fair play.”

SWAG reaffirmed its dedication to maintaining the highest standards of journalism, promoting ethical reporting, and supporting its members in their pursuit of excellence.

“On this special day, we reiterate our commitment to upholding the highest standards of journalism, promoting ethical reporting, and supporting our members in their pursuit of excellence.
