Table tennis legend Nana Yaw Boateng donates equipment to New Juaben table tennis club

The New Juaben Table Tennis Club received a substantial donation of equipment from Ghana’s most celebrated table tennis champion, Nana Yaw Boateng. This donation, valued at thousands of dollars, comes from a former national champion who has also been recognized as a four-time SWAG Award winner and a medallist at the Abuja 2003 All Africa Games. Known for his unwavering support and sponsorship, this legendary figure has been a crucial pillar for Ghana, ensuring its growth and success.

The donation ceremony held on November 11, 2024, at the club’s training facility, where the atmosphere was filled with gratitude and inspiration. Nana Yaw Boateng, affectionately known as Abishi Lolo, was the distinguished guest of honor. During his speech, he expressed his appreciation for the club’s executive committee, acknowledging their dedication and hard work. He urged the players to remain committed to their training, emphasizing that perseverance is essential for achieving championship success.

The club’s chairman, Mr. Felix Adjetey Sowah, also took the opportunity to reflect on the invaluable support provided by Nana Yaw Boateng. He highlighted the legend’s role in his capacity as chairman and the positive impact of his generosity on the club’s development. In a touching moment, Mr. Sowah led the club in extending prayers for Nana Yaw Boateng, asking for continued blessings upon him for his commendable acts of kindness, both within the table tennis community and beyond.
