The Elephantine Struggle of The Eleven Is To One

By Tilda Acorlor.

Inter Allies FC, once a formidable force in the Ghana Premier League, has been struggling to regain its footing since its demotion to the Volta Regional Division Two League due to a betting saga.

Despite their hard work and determination, which earned them a double triumph in the Volta Regional League and FA Cup, their recent performances on the big stage have been underwhelming.

The team’s porous display in Zone Three of the National Division One League has raised concerns about their ability to compete at the top level.

With a dismal record of one win, nine losses, and one draw in eleven matches, they languish at the bottom of the 16-team league table with a paltry 4 points.

Handlers of the team attribute their poor performance to the inexperience of most players, who were promoted from their junior side, Cedar Stars Academy.

This lack of experience has led to concerns that Inter Allies may have lost its mojo. As they prepare to face in-form Home Stars FC in a crucial Regional Derby, the team’s woes may deepen.

The scheduled match, to be played on a neutral venue at the University of Ghana Sports Stadium, will be a litmus test for Inter Allies’ resolve and determination.

To regain their former glory, Inter Allies must address the issues plaguing their team.

The acquisition of experienced players and a revamp of their coaching staff may be necessary to inject new life into the team.

Until then, the question remains: Has Inter Allies lost its mojo?
