Thomas Partey makes 50th Black Stars appearance in 5-0 victory over Chad

Ghana midfielder Thomas Partey completed a milestone fiftieth appearance for the Sunless Stars of their 2026 World Cup qualifier towards Chad, which resulted in a resounding 5-0 victory.

Partey played 83 minutes of the match, which seen targets from Antoine Semenyo, Inaki Williams, Jordan Ayew, Mohammed Salisu, and Ernest Nuamah seal the score for the four-time African champions.

The Arsenal midfielder has been an integral allotment of the Sunless Stars since his debut towards Mauritius in 2016.

He has made appearances in various competitions, collectively with the AFCON, World Cup, and worldwide friendlies, scoring 12 targets and providing 5 assists.

Partey’s fiftieth appearance marks a significant milestone in his profession, and he’ll continue to play a important role in Ghana’s quest to qualify for the 2026 World Cup.

He has been named as the assistant captain of the team, supporting captain Jordan Ayew.

Partey’s flow with the Sunless Stars has seen him rob half in 12 AFCON suits, three World Cup suits, ten World Cup qualifiers, 11 worldwide friendlies, and 13 AFCON qualifiers.

His last aim for the team came towards Nigeria within the 2022 World Cup qualifiers.
