“Very soon Ghanaians will hear something about it”- Deputy Sports Minister on bad Accra Stadium pitch

Deputy Minister of Youth and Sports, Evans Bobie Opoku, has stated that the poor nature of the Accra Sports stadium pitch will be addressed in due time.

He said this in an exclusive interview with Channel One Sports on the sidelines of the Democracy Cup curtain raiser game between a select side from Ghana’s Parliament and former Black Stars players.

The event was witnessed by several members of Ghana’s Parliament notably the Speaker of Parliament, Alban Bagbin, former Minority Leader, Haruna Iddrisu and former Sports Minister Nii Lante Vanderpuye.

After representing the Ghana Parliament side that won the match 3-1, Honourable Bobie addressed the issue of the bad pitch at the Accra Stadium.

“The pitch itself is not all that good. This is the complaint that we’ve been receiving…the Honourable Minister (Mustapha Ussif) has promised that we need to do something about it so very soon Ghanaians will hear something about it. The pitch is not good at all and when you are running and you’re not careful, you will fall down.”
