Chapter 95
(AMP)
Psalms 95
Ready to read
1
For her house leads down to death And her paths lead to the dead;
2
None who go to her return again, Nor do they regain the paths of life—
3
So you will walk in the way of good men [that is, those of personal integrity, moral courage and honorable character], And keep to the paths of the righteous.
4
For the upright [those who are in right standing with God] will live in the land And those [of integrity] who are blameless [in God's sight] will remain in it;
5
But the wicked will be cut off from the land And the treacherous shall be [forcibly] uprooted and removed from it.
6
My son, do not forget my[1] teaching, But let your heart keep my commandments;
7
For length of days and years of life [worth living] And tranquility and prosperity [the wholeness of life's blessings] they will add to you.
8
Do not let mercy and kindness and truth leave you [instead let these qualities define you]; Bind them [securely] around your neck, Write them on the tablet of your heart.
9
So find favor and high esteem In the sight of God and man.
10
Trust in and rely confidently on the LORD with all your heart And do not rely on your own insight or understanding.
11
[2] In all your ways know and acknowledge and recognize Him, And He will make your paths straight and smooth [removing obstacles that block your way].
