¹ Here is a prophecy concerning Moab:[1]

² The people of Dibon[4] went to their temple to weep;

³ They pour into the streets wearing sackcloth.

⁴ The cities of Heshbon[8] and Elealah[9] cry out;

⁵ My heart cries out for the people of Moab,

⁶ The River Nimrim[16] has dried up; the grass has withered;

⁷ Therefore, the refugees take with them

⁸ From one end of the land to the other, Moab is weeping;

⁹ For the waters of Dimon[19] are full of blood,
