Isaiah
Chapter 63
(Passion Bible)
Isaiah 63
Ready to read
1
Who is this coming from the city of Bozrah[1] in Edom?[2]
2
Why are your robes so red,
3
“I have been treading in the winepress alone,
4
For a day of vengeance[5] was in my heart,
5
I looked, but there was no one to help me.
6
So I trampled down nations in my anger
7
I will tell again of the faithful, gracious acts[9] of Yahweh
8
For he said,
9
When they suffered, he suffered with them.
10
But they rebelled against him
11
Then they remembered God’s deeds in days past,
12
Where now is the one
13
Who led them through the depths of the sea?
14
As a herder leads his cattle to find rest in a fertile valley,
15
Lord, look down from heaven,
16
For you are our loving Father.
17
Yahweh, why do you allow us[25] to wander from your ways
18
For a short time
19
You treat us as though we had never been your people,
