Ahmed Suale: I will speak nothing but the truth- A-Plus responds to Ghana Police

Kwame Asare Obeng, a politician and musician better known by his stage name A Plus, has replied to the police’s invitation, saying to have knowledge of Ahmed Suale’s demise.

A plus said on Facebook that he will be visiting the Ghana Police headquarters on Monday, July 22 at 2:00 p.m. to talk “nothing but the truth,” immediately after word leaked out about the police invitation.

“I’ll be at CID headquarters at 2 p.m. to give information on Ahmed Suale,” the message said. The actuality! Just the truth, nothing more.

A Plus’s recent assertions on social media that he has some information about the case led to the police inviting him to help with the current investigation into Ahmed Suale’s killing.

On a Monday, July 15, announcement, the police invited A Plus. The statement said that since the tragic event, an inquiry into Ahmed Suale’s death has been ongoing.

The Ghana Police Service’s Criminal Investigations Department (CID) created the Cold Case Unit in October 2021 to handle instances similar to this one. The unit has been working on the case’s investigation and has been in close communication with the deceased’s family, according to the police.

The statement continued, “Mr. Kwame Asare Obeng (A-Plus) has indicated that he has some information that could assist the ongoing investigation, and the Police are therefore pleased with this, and he has been invited accordingly.”

Investigative journalist Ahmed Suale, 31, was employed by Tiger Eye PI, an organisation founded by Anas Aremeyaw Anas that is well-known for using undercover techniques to uncover social injustices and corruption.
