He made the assurance when the security task force met with the Electoral Commission, EC in Accra to retrospect on the Commission’s past events and think about measures for the next events, and how best the security forces can contribute to their success.

He said his Office and the National Election Security Task Force has put in place necessary security arrangements to maintain law and order before, during, and after the elections, and it is ready to work with the EC to actualize the arrangements while pledging the commitment of its administration to work with the EC to uphold its values of transparency and accountability in all its dealings.

“We are committed with intentionality to guide the peace and the security of this country. So where we need to add soft, we will do so, and where we need to add tough, we will do so, because it is about Ghana and not any other country”, he said.

He commended the EC for going by its timetable for the upcoming elections.
