Which Bible translation do you use and why?

I have been reading the NIV for years but I am curious about the ESV and NKJV. Which translation do you prefer for study versus devotional reading?

I read the ESV for study because it stays close to the original wording, and the NIV for everyday reading. It is a great combination.

NKJV all the way for me. I love the beauty of the language while still being accurate.

What you have to understand is the level of your comprehending that is what will determine your version of Bible. We are reading Bible not to prove that we understand big grammar but to really know the meaning of what is talking or saying about Goodluck
