Job Duties

• Set up and operate manual welding equipment for GTAW and GMAW welding processes.
• Perform MIG and TIG welding on heavy equipment assemblies using stainless steel, mild steel, and carbon steel.
• Interpret weld symbols, technical drawings, and GD&T specifications.
• Identify material types and manage welding fixtures throughout production processes.
• Operate and troubleshoot projection welding equipment when required.
• Conduct first-piece table layouts to support quality verification.
• Troubleshoot welding build issues and implement corrective actions.
• Process job folders and maintain required production and quality documentation.
• Assemble and validate weld fixtures before quality approval.
• Load and operate robotic welders and complete manual repair work as necessary.
• Interpret CMM reports and make production adjustments independently.
• Ensure welded products meet AWS specifications and customer requirements.
• Utilize internal production systems to support workflow and material tracking.
• Participate actively in workplace safety initiatives and maintain compliance with safety procedures.

Job Requirements

• High school diploma or GED required.
• Vocational or technical trade training preferred.
• AWS Certification preferred.
• Minimum of 2 years of industrial heavy equipment manual welding experience; 5–8 years preferred.
• Knowledge of GD&T principles and blueprint interpretation.
• Experience using hand tools, inspection tools, and layout equipment.
• Ability to lift and move items exceeding 50 pounds regularly.
• Ability to work in active manufacturing environments requiring standing, bending, climbing, and physical movement.
• Comfort working around industrial equipment, fumes, chemicals, vibration, and elevated noise levels.
• Strong troubleshooting and independent problem-solving skills.
• Must be eligible to work in the United States.
