POSITION: Senior Associate Construction Management Engineer

What You Will Do

To succeed in this role, you will take ownership of several critical responsibilities, including:

Construction Oversight and Site Coordination

  • Supervise daily site activities to ensure alignment with approved designs and timelines
  • Track construction progress and identify risks or delays early
  • Conduct regular inspections and ensure compliance with safety and environmental standards
  • Verify completed work and recommend contractor payments based on progress

Technical Documentation and Quality Control

  • Review drawings, specifications, and technical documents to maintain project accuracy
  • Prepare site reports, inspection records, and contractor communications
  • Support quality assurance by checking materials, processes, and outputs
  • Maintain organized documentation for audits and project tracking

Monitoring and Reporting

  • Develop weekly and monthly progress reports that highlight performance and risks
  • Maintain risk registers and recommend practical solutions to emerging issues
  • Support procurement and tender processes when required
  • Contribute to project close out reports and lessons learned documentation

Stakeholder Engagement and Team Collaboration

  • Build strong working relationships with contractors, suppliers, and local authorities
  • Participate in site meetings and ensure clear follow up on action points
  • Support junior team members through guidance and knowledge sharing
  • Engage community representatives to ensure transparent communication

Skills and Experience Required

To stand out for this position, candidates should demonstrate both technical expertise and strong interpersonal abilities. Ideal applicants will bring:

  • A degree in Civil Engineering, Construction Management, or a related field
  • At least three years of relevant experience in construction or infrastructure projects
  • Strong knowledge of site supervision, quality control, and reporting processes
  • Proficiency in Microsoft Office and digital project management tools
  • Excellent problem solving and analytical thinking skills

In addition, candidates with experience in international development environments or multicultural teams will gain an advantage.
