Strong candidates then advance to an interdisciplinary Committee of Selection. This committee must reach full consensus before recommending finalists. The Foundation’s Board of Trustees confirms all final fellowship awards.

Required Materials

Applicants must submit a career narrative, capped at 1,000 words. A statement of plans outlines the proposed project clearly. Applicants also submit up to seven examples of significant work. Three references are required, with a fourth optional reference permitted. Field-specific work examples vary significantly depending on the applicant’s discipline.
