Job Summary

We currently seek a competent and experienced Control Room Operator to join our team. This position places you at the heart of our metallurgical operations, where you will plan, control, and execute tasks according to laid down procedures. Your work will directly influence our ability to achieve quality objectives, optimise resource utilisation, and maintain a safe working environment.

Your Responsibilities

• Plan, control, and execute tasks to achieve safe quality objectives, reporting deviations in the metallurgical process promptly.
• Ensure the achievement of qualitative and quantitative output through the efficient utilisation of available resources.
• Initiate cost saving practices and productivity improvement initiatives, contributing to operational efficiency.
• Organise, coordinate, and adhere to set controls in accordance with procedures and standards.
• Maintain a safe and friendly environment to ensure effective engineering standards and procedures are developed and implemented.
• Comply with ISO 14001 and 45001 requirements in all activities, upholding environmental and safety standards.
• Take responsibility for your own safety as well as the safety of others, fostering a culture of zero harm.

Required Qualifications and Experience

To succeed in this role, you must bring a combination of academic qualifications, practical experience, and personal attributes. Specifically, we require:

• Educational Qualification: Minimum of a Senior High School Certificate.
• Experience: Minimum of three years of experience in a similar position.
• Technical Knowledge: Demonstrable understanding of Control Room operations and metallurgical processes.
• Certification: Relevant Certificate of Competence from the Minerals Commission of Ghana.
• Communication Skills: Well-developed oral and written communication skills in English, with the ability to interact with people of diverse cultures.
• Hands-On Approach: Willingness to work long hours and commit to obtaining the required results.
• Initiative: Ability to initiate, take responsibility, and manage tasks through to completion.
• Driving Licence: A valid Ghanaian driver’s licence and proficiency in driving light vehicles.
