Consequently, we seek a Public Event Manager who shares our vision and can manage our corporate event portfolio and public relations activities with professionalism and strategic insight.

Job Summary

We currently seek a highly organised and dynamic Public Event Manager to join our team. This position places you at the heart of our external engagement strategy, where you will oversee the full spectrum of our corporate event portfolio and public relations activities. Your work will directly influence our brand reputation, stakeholder relationships, and market leadership.

Responsibilities

• Manage full-cycle corporate events, including government and industry ceremonies, award galas, product launches, and official company activities.
• Oversee all logistical phases: application for permits, venue reservations, on-site execution, budget control, and post-event documentation.
• Ensure meticulous record-keeping and post-event filing for all activities to maintain a clear audit trail.
• Handle local media communication, including press release drafting, brand news publication, and coordination of media interviews.
• Maintain the company’s positive public image by proactively managing media relationships and crisis communication protocols.
• Coordinate and support foreign guest receptions and high-level stakeholder visits.
• Take charge of industry award applications and honour certification follow-ups.
• Manage brand qualification updates and proactively work to maintain and enhance brand reputation within the automotive and industrial sectors.
• Manage all external resources including event organisers, media partners, and industry associations.
• Establish and maintain the company’s official resource files to ensure standardised management of vendors and partners.
• Conduct daily external communication in English, including business email replies and stakeholder liaison.
• Organise, update, and maintain corporate promotional materials, brand profiles, and official publicity content.

Job Requirements

Education

• Master’s Degree in Public Relations, Marketing, Communications, or a related field.

Experience

• Minimum of 5 to 10 years of proven working experience in corporate PR and event management within Ghana.

Language Skills

• Fluent in English, both written and spoken, with the ability to conduct independent external negotiations and draft professional business correspondence.

• Industry Knowledge: Experienced in government affairs, business ceremonies, and award event operations.
• Skills: Strong coordination, negotiation, and execution abilities with a high attention to detail.
• Work Ethic: High sense of responsibility and a stable working attitude.
• Integrity: Must ensure all work records are retained and filed correctly; strict policy against private resource possession.
• Availability: Must be willing to work full-time on-site in Accra or Tema and be flexible to support peak-event overtime and on-site arrangements during high-profile events.
