Benefits of University of Macau Scholarship for International Students

UM PhD Scholarship

Successful recipients of the UM PhD Scholarship (UMPS) will be provided with a monthly allowance of:

MOP 20,000 per month

• The scholarship can be awarded for a maximum of four years.

UM PhD Teaching and Research Assistantships

• The University of Macau also offers UMTRA (UM PhD Teaching and Research Assistantship) opportunities.

UMTRA Type A

• Eligible individuals may receive a starting monthly stipend of $12,500 per month.
• The support may be granted for a maximum of four years within the terms laid down.

Type B UMTRA

For Type B, qualifying participants are entitled to a monthly stipend that is comparable to the monthly average of the complete tuition fees of the programme during the normative term of study.
