Management of the Ghana Education Service seeks passionate and dedicated graduates with a Bachelor of Education (B.Ed) degree and/or related certificate in education to apply for teaching positions in the service.

Duties

Firstly, you will facilitate learning using 21st-century technology.
Secondly, you will cater for learners with different learning needs and help them achieve excellent learning
outcomes.
Thirdly, you will continuously improve learners’ ability to research using new technologies.
Additionally, you will use various assessment tools and tasks to accurately assess levels of learners.

Requirements

Firstly, you must hold a Bachelor’s Degree in Education or a relevant Bachelor’s Degree with Postgraduate
Diploma in Education (PGDE)/Postgraduate Certificate in Education (PGCE) or Diploma in Basic Education.
Secondly, you must be in good standing with the National Teaching Council (NTC) and possess a valid Teaching
Licence.
Furthermore, you must demonstrate strong communication and classroom management skills.
Finally, you should be prepared and willing to accept a posting to deprived districts.

About Ghana Education Service (GES)

The Ghana Education Service (GES) was established in 1974 as part of the Public Service of Ghana. It was initially created by NRCD 247 and has since been amended by NRCD 252, 357, and SMCD 63. The earlier legislation has been amended by Acts of Parliament, including Act 506 (1994) and Act 778 (2008), under the Fourth Republican Constitution of Ghana. The GES Council governs the GES and has fifteen members.
