POSITION: Finance & Data Analyst

Quick Credit & Investment Micro-Credit Ltd is seeking a Finance & Data Analyst to join our Senior Management Team in Accra. If you hold a degree in Accounting, Finance, or Data Science, bring at least five years of banking and finance experience, and possess exceptional Excel skills, this role offers the opportunity to shape the financial success of a fast growing multinational SME lending fintech across Africa.

Your Mission

You will lead data analysis and financial monitoring across our African operations. Your role spans daily financial scrutiny, fraud detection, performance analysis, expense approval, reconciliation, and cash flow management. You will also consolidate monthly reports for investors and formulate financial policies that guide our procedures.

Key Responsibilities

Your role spans financial monitoring, analysis, reconciliation, reporting, and policy development. Here is what you will tackle:

Financial Monitoring & Fraud Detection

• You will monitor financial records reported by all subsidiaries on a daily basis, keeping a pulse on every transaction.
• Scrutinizing subsidiary expenses to identify potential fraud protects our assets and reputation.
• Approving expense requests requires sound judgment and adherence to policies.
• Obtaining, analyzing, and evaluating accounting documents ensures accuracy and completeness.

Performance Analysis

• You will analyze performance across subsidiaries in sales and defaults, identifying trends that inform strategy.
• Proactively analyzing key subsidiary metrics such as loan applications, assessments, rejections, and repayments across verticals including gender, loan size, and industry uncovers actionable insights.
• Developing bottom up analysis of subsidiary costs identifies cost savings opportunities across our portfolio.

Reconciliation & Reporting

• You will perform daily reconciliations of bank and mobile money accounts for all subsidiaries, catching discrepancies early.
• Preparing periodic reports for management keeps leadership informed and aligned.
• Consolidating monthly financial reports for investors demonstrates transparency and accountability.

Cash Flow & Policy Management

• You will forecast cash flow needs for the Parent Company and ensure sufficient cash availability at all times.
• Formulating financial policies for the company and ensuring procedures are followed builds a strong control environment.
• Identifying loopholes and recommending risk aversion measures in operations strengthens our resilience.

What You Bring to the Role

Qualifications & Experience

• A degree or postgraduate qualification in Accounting, Finance, or Data Science.
• At least five years of work experience in the banking and finance industry, coupled with a strong background in accounting and auditing.
• Completion or current pursuit of your ACCA or ICA designation gives you a distinct bonus.
• Extremely high proficiency in Excel.
• Strong analytical background with exceptional competence in financial modelling tools such as Excel.
• Deep knowledge of accounting principles and practices.
