POSITION: Lead, Technology Business Partnering

The Mastercard Foundation is seeking a Lead, Technology Business Partnering to join our team. Your Mission

You will serve as a liaison for Programs and supporting functions, assisting in engagements, meetings, and ceremonies to ensure alignment with the Foundation’s technology strategy. Additionally, you will support the implementation of technology initiatives that address functional team needs, identify gaps, and recommend improvements. Your ability to facilitate cross functional stakeholder involvement, track initiative status, and establish governance processes will keep our technology portfolio on track and on value.

Key Responsibilities

Your role spans liaison, operational support, initiative implementation, tracking, governance, analysis, and emerging tech exploration. Here is what you will tackle:

Liaison & Operational Support

• You will serve as a liaison for Programs and supporting functions, assisting in engagements, meetings, and ceremonies to align with the Foundation’s technology strategy.
• Providing operational support to the Head, you will foster collaboration with Senior Leadership and other key stakeholders.

Initiative Implementation & Gap Identification

• You will support the implementation of technology initiatives that address functional team needs, identifying gaps and recommending improvements.
• Facilitating the involvement of relevant cross functional stakeholders in the co creation and design of technology solutions.

Tracking & Reporting

• You will track and report on the status of technology initiatives across functional areas, ensuring progress aligns with defined goals and timelines.
• Providing regular updates to the Head and relevant stakeholders keeps everyone informed and accountable.

Governance & Business Analysis

• You will support the establishment of governance processes and frameworks to streamline collaboration between Programs, supporting functions, and the Technology function.
• Ensuring adherence to agreed decision making processes.
• Conducting business analysis to identify opportunities for leveraging technology to enhance program outcomes.

Emerging Technologies

• You will stay informed about emerging technologies and assist in their application to drive efficiency and impact.

What You Bring to the Role

Education & Qualifications

• A Bachelor’s degree in Information Technology, Computer Science, Business Administration or Management, or a related field. A Master’s degree or MBA gives you an asset.
• Relevant professional qualification.
• Membership in a relevant professional body.

Experience

• Proven experience of ten or more years in Technology, Program Management, Business Relationship Management, Business Partnering, or a similar role, with previous leadership roles held.
• Familiarity working with enterprise SaaS platforms such as Workday, Salesforce, and ServiceNow.
• Experience in sectors such as international development, philanthropy, or emerging markets gives you an asset.

Technical & Analytical Skills

• A solid understanding of how technology enables business process execution and improvement, plus the ability to recommend appropriate technology solutions to business problems.
• Strong analytical and problem solving skills with the ability to analyze data, identify trends and insights, and make data driven recommendations.
• Understands how emerging technologies and service providers can improve existing processes and increase operational efficiency.

Communication & Interpersonal Skills

• Excellent verbal and written communication skills with the ability to explain complex digital concepts to non technical stakeholders.
• Strong negotiation skills in complex environments with an aptitude for diplomacy.
• Excellent presentation skills with the ability to articulate information to diverse constituents across cultures.
