POSITION: Manager, Investor Relations

MTN Ghana is seeking a Manager, Investor Relations to join our Treasury & Investor Relations department in Accra. If you hold a Bachelor’s degree in Finance or a related field, bring five years of experience managing investor relations with at least three years in a supervisory role, and understand Ghana’s securities and company laws, this role offers the opportunity to serve as the vital bridge between MTN Ghana and the investment community.

Your Mission

You will serve as the primary point of contact between investors and the company, providing timely and accurate financial and non financial information to investors, financial analysts, and their representatives. Additionally, you will contribute to Board input on investor concerns while ensuring compliance with statutory provisions and the Ghana Securities and Exchange Code. Your ability to perform competitive analysis, develop investor relations materials, and manage results announcements will directly influence market perception.

Key Responsibilities

Your role spans stakeholder communication, compliance, planning, analysis, event management, and feedback integration. Here is what you will tackle:

Investor Communication & Compliance

• You will serve as the point of contact between investors and the company, delivering timely, accurate financial and non financial information.
• Ensuring compliance with statutory provisions and the Ghana Securities and Exchange Code regarding investor and shareholder communications.

Strategy & Planning

• You will input into developing and maintaining the company’s investor relations plan, shaping how we engage the market.
• Performing comprehensive competitive analysis including financial modeling, financial metrics, and differentiation.

Stakeholder & Ecosystem Management

• You will deliver business value through partnerships with MTN Ghana’s ecosystem partners including the Securities and Exchange Commission, equity investors, debt investors, and other relevant stakeholders.
• Monitoring performance metrics for the investor relations function, benchmarking performance and continuously striving for improvement.

Communication Materials & Events

• You will serve as the liaison for the investment community, collaborating with Corporate Affairs to ensure all investor relations communications are appropriate for external delivery.
• Then, Creating presentations, press releases, and other materials for earnings releases, industry events, and presentations to analysts, brokers, and investors.
• Also, Overseeing the development of materials for Stock Exchange announcements, conference call scripts, Q&As, and presentations for quarterly, interim, and year end results.
• Managing the investor relations portion of the company website and maintaining relationships with stock exchange representatives.
• Project managing and facilitating results announcements, events, and other investor relations activities.

Feedback & Relationship Management

• You will establish and maintain relationships with stock exchange representatives, analysts, and fund managers, fostering mutual trust and respect.
• Providing feedback to management regarding the investment community’s perception of how the company is being managed and their view of its financial results.
• Collating, analyzing, and presenting the views of the investor community to the management team to inform corporate strategy development.
• Providing feedback on the impact of stock repurchase programs or dividend changes on the investment community.

What You Bring to the Role

Education & Experience

• A Bachelor’s degree in Finance or a related field of study. Legal or financial law experience gives you an added advantage.
• Five years of minimum experience managing investor relations, preferably in a multinational organisation, with at least three years in a supervisory role.
• A track record or evidence of significant business and social network.
• Good understanding of the mobile telecoms industry gives you an advantage.
• Ability to understand and interpret financial statements.
• Knowledge of Ghana’s securities and company laws and regulations.
