Uber is seeking a Rider Operations professional to join our Accra team. The Rider Operations team in Accra focuses on growing and sustaining Uber’s rider marketplace by improving access, affordability, and reliability for users across Ghana. Moreover, you will collaborate with Marketing, Driver Operations, Customer Support, and Policy teams to deliver a consistently high quality rider experience.

Your Mission

You will support the growth of Uber’s rider base in Accra by analyzing rider behavior, identifying key friction points, and implementing initiatives to increase acquisition and repeat usage. Additionally, you will execute and optimize rider engagement strategies, including promotions, lifecycle campaigns, and targeted interventions for key rider segments. Your ability to monitor core marketplace metrics such as active riders, trip frequency, cancellations, and retention will translate data insights into real operational improvements.

Key Responsibilities

Your role spans analysis, strategy execution, experimentation, and cross functional collaboration. Here is what you will tackle:

Rider Growth & Retention

• You will analyze rider behavior to identify friction points, then design interventions that increase acquisition and repeat usage.
• Executing and optimizing rider engagement strategies including promotions, lifecycle campaigns, and targeted segment interventions.

Marketplace Metrics

• You will monitor core marketplace metrics such as active riders, trip frequency, cancellations, and retention, turning data into actionable improvements.
• Running experiments and tracking outcomes improves affordability perception, reliability, and overall rider satisfaction in Accra.

Cross Functional Collaboration

• You will work closely with Marketing, Driver Operations, Customer Support, and Policy teams to improve the overall rider experience in Ghana.
• Influencing and mobilizing stakeholders across functions requires comfort pushing for action beyond your immediate team.

What You Bring to the Role

Core Requirements

• A minimum of two years of experience in a relevant field such as business operations, finance, commercial strategy, consulting, or analytical roles supporting business decision making.
• A strong analytical toolkit with high proficiency in Excel and Google Sheets. You can work with datasets, build forecasts, create dashboards, and translate insights into actionable recommendations.
• Demonstrated ability to influence and mobilize stakeholders, being comfortable pushing for action across teams.
• Evidence of autonomy and ownership as a self starter who thrives with high responsibility and independence.
• Professional fluency in English; speaking a local Ghanaian language is ideal.
• SQL experience is a plus, but a willingness to learn quickly is essential.
• Experience in roles combining analytics and cross functional stakeholder management, such as finance business partnering, commercial or operations strategy, consulting, or marketplace operations.
• Comfort presenting insights and recommendations to senior stakeholders including the General Manager and Regional Operations leaders.

Preferred Qualifications

• Experience designing or optimizing campaigns, funnel performance, incentives, or growth tactics.
• Experience working in fast paced, high ownership environments where prioritization and rapid experimentation drive success.
• Strong problem solving skills with the ability to break down complex issues and propose creative, data backed solutions.
• Experience in SQL, dashboarding, or process automation.

Work Environment

Offices remain central to collaboration and Uber’s cultural identity. Unless formally approved to work fully remotely, Uber expects employees to spend at least half of their work time in their assigned office.
